Nicki Wakeford

Nicki took up shooting in her early thirties and fell in love with the sport. With a background in competitive racket sports, she found the hand-eye coordination helped her shooting. Starting with sporting and quickly moving on to game shooting, Nicki then embarked on the Olympic Skeet journey and in 2009 she qualified for Team GB and has represented her country many times up to 2016. Nicki started coaching in 2014 and specialises in competitive Olympic Skeet as well as helping clients with their sporting and game shooting. As a British Shooting Talent Pathway coach Nicki runs Development and Talent Academies and regularly travels abroad with the Junior GB Teams. She also an ISSF B Licence Coach and is working towards her A Licence this year (2026). Nicki is keen to encourage women and youngsters into the sport, particularly Olympic Skeet and help them realise their potential; she is both enthusiastic and patient when coaching taking time to get to know the individual.
