I began shooting with shotguns at the age of eleven having progressed from air rifles under the tuition of my father. I have been involved in field sports now for over forty years and continue to shoot both clay pigeon and game. Shooting and field sports are my lifelong passion. I enjoy assisting and encouraging others to participate in shooting sports. I have been instructing at my home ground, Oakedge Shooting Ground at Wolseley Bridge, near Stafford for some years. I have trained with and become accepted as an instructor with APSI. Whether you are a novice looking to take up shooting, looking to improve your technique or correct a specific problem you’ve encountered, I can help. Whether your chosen sport is clay pigeon or game I can tailor a package to suit your needs. I have received a lot of positive feedback from my clients regarding my instructing style, ability and the positive results they have achieved following a session with me. I have years of experience in driven game shooting, rough and walked up shooting. I can assist with improving your shooting technique and addressing specific problems. For those new to game shooting I can help you to understand the mechanics as well as the safety and etiquette of a day’s sport. I am also happy to advise on matters relating to gun fit and equipment selection. In my professional life I have worked in public service, including training and mentoring. I hold a City & Guilds Level 3 award in Education & Training. I am also a LANTRA qualified loader and offer bespoke on peg loading and instruction or simply expert double gun loading or “stuffing”, whichever suits your needs. I aim to provide you with a friendly and positive experience. Being based in the Staffordshire Moorlands, I am close to several high quality shooting grounds including my home ground at Oakedge.
