APSI Olympic Trap and Skeet Course

APSI regrets that due to operational difficulties the first APSI ISSF course will now be held at Eaton Hall SG on September 21,22 & 23 2026, rather than in July.
Main presenters will be Olympians Paul Bentley and Peter Croft, with additional input from other GB team members over the three days.
The APSI Olympic Skeet and Olympic Trap Coach Development Course, is designed for coaches seeking to elevate their technical expertise, instructional capability, and understanding of high‑performance shotgun disciplines.
Course Overview
This intensive programme provides coaches with a structured pathway into the Olympic disciplines, combining technical precision, modern coaching methodology, and athlete‑centred development. The course is suitable for both emerging and experienced coaches who wish to expand their portfolio and support shooters progressing into ISSF pathways.

- Technical foundations of Olympic Skeet and Olympic Trap
- Target presentations, timing, rhythm, and discipline‑specific movement patterns
- Lead strategies, visual pick‑ups, and decision‑making under pressure

Certification
Successful participants will receive APSI Olympic Skeet & Trap Coaching Accreditation, recognising their competence in delivering safe, effective, and progressive coaching in both disciplines.
Participants:
will be age 21 or over at the commencement of the course
will hold a valid UK shotgun licence (applies only to UK participants)
will be an experienced coach, familiar with one or both disciplines
will demonstrate safe gun handling and range etiquette at all times
will have read and understood the ISSF rules pertaining to both disciplines (available for download from the ISSF website)
Price is £795 per person, and there are 12 places available.
