Part Two: Shotgun Coach Course
Transition from Instructor to Coach
The APSI Part Two Shotgun Coach Course is designed for instructors who want to move beyond teaching technique and develop genuine coaching capability. This advanced course focuses on analysing performance, diagnosing shooting problems, planning long-term development and adapting coaching strategies to individual shooters. Part Two is where instructors learn to think like coaches.
During the Course You Will Learn:

- Performance observation and analysis
- Shooter profiling and assessment
- Root cause diagnosis of shooting errors
- Visual, technical and timing-based performance issues
- Session planning and structured development programmes
- Coaching communication and behavioural management
- Coaching across different shotgun disciplines

APSI Part One Instructors
Experienced shooting instructors
Club coaches and shooting ground professionals
Coaches working with regular clients and developing shooters
Outcome
Successful candidates will be able to assess shooter performance, identify performance barriers, implement effective development plans and deliver coaching interventions that produce lasting improvements.
Part Two coaches do not simply teach shooting. They develop shooters.
The first Part Two course of 2027 will be held in June, actual date to be announced shortly.
Course price is £995, which includes lunch, coffee/tea throughout the day, cartridges and clays, plus a selection of guns. It does not include accommodation, but there are many local hotels to choose from.
