The Association of Professional Shooting Instructors held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 16 at the Eaton Hall Shooting Ground (formerly Doveridge), near Ashbourne in Derbyshire (DE6 5LN). As has become an APSI AGM tradition, an enjoyable lunch was provided at 1pm, ready for the AGM at 2pm.

The event was well attended, and among the important subjects discussed was the proposal by government to merge Sections one and two firearms licences. This is being firmly resisted by various stakeholder bodies, the BSSC being one of note.

Reports on APSI’s instructor courses were received, and the all new ISSF 3-day course was announced for July 2026. An important document, explaining the responsibilities of those members proposing people for APSI membership, was also considered. This proposal policy has now been distributed to all APSI members.

Many thanks to those who attended, and let’s look forward to a prosperous and successful year ahead.

APSI Chairman
